Congratulations to our very own Stephenie Flood, Vice President of Operations, selected as a 2021 Women of Influence Honoree by HousingWire!

Stephenie is truly the “heart” of Gold Nation. Joining the company as an administrator in 1997, at just 18 years old, Stephenie has worked her way to her current position through hard work and dedication, overseeing every operational department along the way!

As the pandemic hit and we faced a national shutdown, Stephenie’s positive “we got this” attitude and agility in business operations helped our company navigate seamlessly through transitioning to pandemic life. And her leadership stands strong as she continues to succeed in guiding our company operations as Gold Nation grows.

“As professional women I see our obligation being, first and foremost, to be dedicated to high performance – both from ourselves and from those around us. We have an obligation to set an example for others and be the role model. Beyond that, the best advice I have is to be human and remember that everyone else is toO.”

Stephenie prides herself on promoting a culture of success and gratitude. This recognition incapsulates the person we know Stephenie to be: a leader, an influencer and role model. She is passionate about helping those around her be the best versions of themselves. She enjoys sharing that mindset with our Gold Nation community, and beyond, through the Juggernaut Podcast, our Gold Nation podcast dedicated to helping real estate professionals become an unstoppable force…a Juggernaut! Co-hosted with Anthony James, our Vice President of Professional Development, each month Stephenie and Anthony welcome guests to share inspirational stories, tips and resources, from financial and mental health to goal setting and yoga techniques. Listen to episodes of the Juggernaut Podcast and subscribe!

We are proud of Stephenie and her achievements. She is a shining example of what it means to be a servant leader. Stephenie took a few moments to share her insights and advice on how she influences and supports women in the workplace, as well as who has influenced her throughout her life, both personally and professionally.

HOW HAVE WOMEN INFLUENCED YOUR CAREER?

“My mother was a huge role model for me as she was a working professional my entire life, and I looked to her as my example. She made me strong and independent and instilled the idea in me that I could do whatever I wanted. As I grew into my role at RE/MAX Gold, I have always looked up to Bev Kendall [Chief Relationship Officer] for the example of a strong female leader. Bev has influenced me for the better in countless ways, and I’m forever grateful for her guidance and insight.”

WHY DO YOU THINK IT IS IMPORTANT FOR WOMEN TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER?

“The need for women to support other women is still incredibly important as we dispel misconceptions and myths surrounding professional women. There is a perception and stereotype that strong women can’t get along or work together or support each other, and I think this is really a thing of the past. For me, I am proud to support other women and develop and encourage their growth and professional trajectory.”

HOW DO YOU INFLUENCE WOMEN IN YOUR ROLE AT RE/MAX GOLD NATION?

“I don’t look at our workplace by gender. I am lucky enough to support a diverse team of leaders on a daily basis and support and develop them. I am honored to work alongside such a unique and talented group, and I see much of my role here to take those leaders to the next level. I am entrusted with the success and future of many, and I take that role very seriously and work hard to foster their growth daily.”

WHY IS RE/MAX GOLD NATION A POSITIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT FOR WOMEN?

“Gold Nation is a workplace that values the contributions of all and constantly strives to develop and grow talent. I started here when I was 18 and have learned and evolved immensely in my time. I think I’m a great example of how positive and focused this environment is to support its people. I can’t imagine being anywhere else – Gold Nation has been home for me since 1997, and I love sharing the vision and opportunity that exists here for both agents and staff.”

WHAT CAN WOMEN START TODAY TO BECOME A POSITIVE INFLUENCE FOR OTHER WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE?

“As professional women I see our obligation being, first and foremost, to be dedicated to high performance – both from ourselves and from those around us. We have an obligation to set an example for others and be the role model. Beyond that, the best advice I have is to be human and remember that everyone else is too. So often we get caught up in absolute perfection and forget the human factor in all that we do. Be kind, compassionate, and supportive, and the high achievement will follow.”
