Ryan and Jessica Maupin Join RE/MAX Gold in Reno, Nevada
Being successful in real estate isn’t rocket science. Or is it? If anyone is qualified to weigh in, it would be Ryan and Jessica Maupin who recently joined us in the RE/MAX Gold office in Reno, Nevada.
And, just what would they know about the subject? Well, Ryan studied Aeronautics and Astronautics (yes, that’s rocket science!) at both MIT and Stanford University leading to a distinguished 20-year career in engineering at Los Alamos National Lab (LANL). During which time he served two years as a nuclear policy advisor for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon, attending eventful meetings at the White House.
All this until his future wife Jessica, herself a scholar working as an attorney in real estate, managed to convince him that buying and selling real estate is a lot more fun than working with nuclear weapons.

MEET THE MAUPINS
Ryan and Jessica met in college while she was pursuing a degree in civil engineering in her home state of New Mexico. Jessica also studied law at George Washington University and earned a JD at the University of New Mexico before embarking on a legal career working in real estate. As an attorney, Jessica filed title insurance claims on behalf of her lender clients, handled closings on REO properties, and wrote purchase agreements.
Ryan grew up in Reno, Nevada fostering a lifelong passion for ski racing and mountaineering. In his lifetime he’s climbed Mt. Rainier, Denali, and all 58 of Colorado’s 14ers. He began selling real estate with RE/MAX in early 2019.
The Maupin family (Ryan, Jessica, and their four children) enjoy skiing, mountaineering, tennis, golf, hiking, and to relax they spend time at the beach. They are currently in the market for an English Bulldog and a 5-bedroom home—if anyone has any leads, please let them know!
