Since 2014, John has been a licensed real estate agent in the Fresno, CA area. Before becoming an agent, he owned “The Crepe Factory,” where his interest in real estate began. Over the years, he got to know many real estate agents who came in for breakfast and worked on their laptops at the table. Through conversations and interest, the agents persuaded John to become a real estate agent himself. As a Fresno local since the 1970s, he already had the local experience to help him provide top-notch services to his clients.
John credits part of his success in real estate to knowing how to plan and prepare. In a restaurant, you need to anticipate how many people to feed and be willing to adapt quickly. Like in the restaurant industry, he has found it essential to be proactive in real estate, not reactive. For example, he encourages his clients to get a home inspection done before listing their homes. Doing so helps them plan for what needs to be taken care of and hopefully helps to avoid any required reactive work during escrow.

Now over eight years into John’s real estate career, he knew it was time to make a change. His fiancee would be applying for pharmacy schools, possibly leading them out of the State of California. To help avoid this career affecting life change he looked for options to give him flexibility. He was thrilled when he learned about RE/MAX Gold Nation’s presence in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington! By joining, his fiancee can now apply to pharmacy school in any of these five states, and when they relocate he will still be able to stay with his brokerage and not have to start over again. This switch is the stability and flexibility he was hoping for, and he looks forward to where the future takes him and his wife as he continues with RE/MAX Gold Nation across state lines.
Outside of real estate, John enjoys his hobby of dog shows. Since the 1980s, he has shown his Beagle dogs and is a member of the Stockton Beagle Club. He and his fiancee have been together for over 18 years. John is the proud father of four grown daughters and the grandfather of five, with two more grandchildren on the way.
