I joined RE/MAX Gold because… “I’m a numbers guy.” —Frank Orr

Turning what was initially a hobby on top of his 9-5, Frank has created a successful life in real estate that not only grows his own personal career but helps propel the success of other agents through education and partnership. As a numbers man who also loves to cook and entertain, Frank is a shining example of how the use of data, partnered with always keeping the client most important, can build a successful real estate business.

In 2005, Frank received his California Real Estate License. Because of his interest in architecture, he felt it would be a great hobby to have to help pay off his student loans, which it quickly did. Frank earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of the Pacific.  At the time of getting his real estate license, Frank was a CPA working full-time, but really felt the passion for real estate and continued to do real estate on the side, eventually moving into lending as well.

As his side-business in real estate and lending continued to succeed, a Title Representative he worked closely with, encouraged him to go into real estate full-time, sharing she felt he truly had the talent and work ethic it took to excel in the business.  He turned down the idea.  He was not ready to leave a steady paycheck and benefits to pursue the what-if.

There were a few more bends in the road of his career before he would eventually make the switch. Frank left the CPA firm, and became the controller of a local hospital. During his time there, it became clear to him that the ethics of the hospital industry did not align with his morals.  Here he found himself in a situation where he needed to make a change, and he chose to take the opportunity that had been knocking at his door for years: full-time real estate.

In March of 2012, Frank began selling full-time in real estate.  By the end of 2012, he had already closed 22 deals, signaling his explosive start in full-time real estate. During the past almost decade, he has grown his business into a team, allowing him to become a close mentor and advocate for other agents in the field. The time he gets to spend educating and mentoring is one of the greatest passions of his career.  He loves to see the success agents can bring to their business when they properly understand the time, efforts and resources needed to be put in to get the best results.

joining RE/MAX Gold Nation and accessing the valuable resources provided, gives Frank’s team more devoted time to clients and mentoring agents.

When working with clients, Frank uses the power of data to present why his team is the best option for them. With a background in finance and accounting, it is clear that he is.  It’s helped him see the details in running a successful real estate business, but also helps him paint a clear picture for others as he mentors and educates up and coming agents.

But don’t make the mistake that he’s just a numbers guy.  Frank and his team work to always put the client first.  He sees the power in resource investment and knows that the more time and effort that can be directed towards the client will ultimately result in an environment of superior customer service.

One of his recent resource investments was partnering with RE/MAX Gold Nation. He knew he needed a change to get the resources he needed to spend less time on other parts of his business, and more time with his clients and mentoring his agents. He knew this partnership would be the answer.  With the powerful technology tools and management support he now has access to, Frank is able to elevate his business in a way he has been seeking to for years.

Along with more time for his clients and mentees, Frank also sees the value to making time to be an important part of the community.  Frank serves on the board of Second Harvest of the Valley, as well as their strategic planning committee and marketing committee. The organization provides meals to children in school. He has been able to make an incredible impact with his time as the organization has helped children get the nutrition they need to improve test scores and excel in life.  Frank is able to use his professional experience to make an impact to the community, and he encourages others to do so. “Everyone should pick an organization that can become a part of their “why”, Frank recommends.  He further explains that it doesn’t matter what the organization does, but as long as someone feels that their effort is making an impact for others, it will fuel them in all areas of life, making them not only a better real estate agent but a better human.  We can all use a little more of that.

We are thrilled to have Frank Orr and Associates as a part of our Gold Nation community, and hope you will join us in welcoming them!
