Brian has managed every aspect of the real estate transaction, from conducting market and feasibility analyses to developing acquisition and disposition strategies. He has negotiated and executed leases and multi-state portfolio transactions totaling approximately 12 million square feet at values in excess of $2 billion. Brian’s success extends beyond a successful career in Los Angeles real estate. As a #1 selling author, Brian has captivated the innovative minds of agents to teach them how to excel in commercial real estate.
“I joined RE/MAX ONE because of the International Brand Recognition.” —Brian Hennessey
After leaving brokering in 2003 and becoming an acquisitions and dispositions executive, Brian found himself on the other side. Instead of finding reasons for clients to buy a property, it was now his responsibility to find every reason not to purchase a property to help ensure the investment is sound. During that time, he learned the importance and power of due diligence and why it is crucial to inspect and analyze every aspect of the property to avoid litigation down the road. Nine years later, Brian made the switch to brokering once again. Between 2003 and 2012, Brian had found much had changed in the industry, particularly with the rise of the internet, and it was obvious he needed to set himself above the rest.
Putting his experience to use, Brian decided to write out a reference manual to aid him in completing all the due diligence required to serve his client correctly. After finding it helpful, he casually listed the book on Amazon, “The Due Diligence Handbook For Commercial Real Estate.” Reaching #1 Best Seller in Commercial Real Estate, Brian saw there indeed was a demand for commercial real estate agents to improve their skills, particularly in due diligence in this rapidly changing world. Until his book, there was a lack of accessible information on the topic, and suddenly he found himself helping agents around the world through his books. To help further educate agents, Brian has also published “How To Add Value Handbook For Commercial Real Estate” and “The Residential Agent’s Handbook For Commercial Real Estate.”
“I believe in lifelong learning and self-improvement. I hope to help improve the industry by educating commercial Realtors on how to improve to protect themselves and their clients.”
In August 2021, Brian made his next big move and joined RE/MAX One in Woodland Hills, California. With international clients coming to Los Angeles to invest, Brian wanted to associate himself with a worldwide brand. With 125,000 sales associates in more than 110 countries and territories, RE/MAX has an unmatched presence worldwide, helping Brian create the brand recognition he has been seeking. In addition, Brian finds the technology resources of RE/MAX impressive, as he sees them one step ahead of the competition.
