For several years, Jim was a real estate investor, flipping houses and owning rental properties. His investments spanned several states including Arizona, Colorado, and Michigan. In 2019, Jim felt becoming a licensed real estate agent with his experience was the right next step. As a frequent buyer and seller himself, Jim understands clients' needs and can subsequently provide those services to his clients. 

Recently, Jim moved from Boise, ID, to the Bay Area. While at his previous brokerage Angelo Gallo helped Jim grow and progress as an agent. Once Angelo joined Gold Nation, Jim missed the one-on-one mentoring he had received from Angelo, but did not know which office Angelo was currently working. Later, during a conversation with Tim Yee, President of RE/MAX Gold Bay Area, Jim discovered Angelo had left to manage at RE/MAX Gold, and Jim wanted to join him there!

Jim has been pleased with his decision to join RE/MAX. He felt the systems were disjointed at other brokerages and did not coordinate together. With the power of Booj, Megaphone, and more, Jim feels the technology systems at RE/MAX work in unison to help provide a more powerful resource for his business. He is most excited about First.io, a RE/MAX exclusive mobile app designed to help real estate agents win more business from their network. He looks forward to growing his business with the contacts he already has and learning how he can best meet their real estate needs. 

Outside of real estate, Jim is married to his wife of almost 37 years. They have two children who studied at Harvard and Stanford. He began his career as a Christian missionary in Mexico and studied at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City, where he met his wife. Today, Jim leads a group of volunteers each year to service a community development center in San Bartolo, Mexico. He also teaches a regular mens' bible study.
