Previously with Lyon Real Estate, Elizabeth joins RE/MAX Gold in the Sierra Oaks office. Elizabeth is well known in and around Sacramento, as she was the #1 agent at Lyon Downtown since 2011 and has been in the top 1% of all Realtors® in the area since 2012. With a 45 year career in the industry, Elizabeth brings immense value to our Sierra Oaks office!
You’ve probably heard of making lemonade out of life’s sour lemons, but have you heard the one about taking short sales and making yourself into a real estate guru? That’s exactly how Elizabeth got her breakthrough in the marketplace during the housing crisis, beginning in 2006. While most agents shied away from the uncertainty of working with short sales, Elizabeth took them as an opportunity to make a name for herself. Why? “Because nobody else was doing it,” she says. During that time, Elizabeth sold more short sales in a 7 county area, over a 10 year period, than any other Realtor® in the business. Looking back, she attributes her success in the industry to her time in short sales, saying, “If you can get through short sales, you can get through anything.” Once the market picked back up, Elizabeth pivoted her business to become a local listing specialist. “The future of real estate is people who specialize,” says Elizabeth, a strategy which has continued to make her a real estate icon in Sacramento.

Elizabeth has teamed up with JaCi Wallace, Barbara Dow, Josh Amolsch and Carol Crestelo to form the Weintraub & Wallace Team at RE/MAX Gold. JaCi was formerly Elizabeth’s Office Manager at Lyon Real Estate, as well as a mentor when she was doing short sales.
While Elizabeth enjoyed her 16 years at her former brokerage, she knew it was finally time to join the #1 RE/MAX in the world. “I was a big frog in a small pond, but now we’re going to be a big frog in a big pond, with the international brand,” says Elizabeth. “It just seems like the train to be on—there’s no comparison.”
