Kit Syn Joins RE/MAX Gold Nation

Gold Nation is excited to introduce a new member of our community! Please welcome Kit Syn to RE/MAX Gold in the Folsom office. Kit has been thrilled with the increase of sales he has experienced in referrals, support, and RE/MAX recognition out in the community, already at the beginning of his path here at RE/MAX.

With a productive real estate career and member of The Sacramento Association of REALTORS® Masters Club, you might be surprised how recently Kit began his journey in the industry. With a background and upbringing in hospitality, Kit was ready to take the real estate world by storm, already having mastered the biggest key to his real estate success: hospitality and service.

In December of 2018, after a year working as the operations manager of a small real estate office, Kit was encouraged by the owners to earn his real estate license and pursue a career in selling real estate.  In January, he took real estate head-on and made the leap from a steady paycheck to commission pay, the scary leap many real estate agents make when entering into their new careers. Kit recalls the first 3 months as being painstaking and silent. As the stress grew, a friend comforted him and advised him, “Just have faith that what you are doing is right, it will come.”  And the good did come!  By March, he closed his first transaction and has never slowed down since. By the end of 2019, his first year selling real estate, Kit closed $5.7 million in sales and earned the #2 spot at his brokerage!

Kit attributes his success to his powerful perspective of doing real estate business: “It’s not about property, not about real estate, it’s about relationships, trust, and communication. A house comes and goes, a relationship lasts forever.” Kit values the client above the transaction. He knows that there is nothing more important than meeting his clients’ needs, no matter the circumstances.  He is known to take a call from an anxious client at 10:30 pm, listening to their concerns, researching for the next hour information that can help his client’s concerns, and getting right back to them so they can rest easy that night.  That is the level of customer service he has seen the value in for years, especially in his former career in the hotel industry.

As a hotel manager, Kit had to be in business mode 24/7. “You can’t just turn off hospitality at 5 pm,” Kit explained; hotels never close.  His time working in hospitality made him learn how to deal with people, understand people, and build the thick skin needed in any service industry. “I breathe hospitality,” Kit said. Growing up, he was taught to always give the best room to the guest. Kit identifies as a fiduciary who puts the needs of others before his own, an identity that has truly been the driving force in building his successful career in real estate.

Kit embodies the power of hospitality in business, instantaneously making him a great fit here with RE/MAX Gold Nation.  A few years ago, our Gold Nation CEO, James O’Bryon, gifted each of the leadership team with the book “Setting the Table” by Danny Meyer. As a successful restaurant entrepreneur, Meyer’s book teaches the importance of hospitality across all sectors of industry and life.  In real estate, our CEO and our agent community understand the power of putting the client’s needs first and giving them the absolute best real estate experience.  We are so thrilled to have a new agent with us who has mastered these skills in business.

Kit loves the relationships he builds as a real estate agent. As an avid golfer, he loves connecting with his network and expanding his network.  When he wears his RE/MAX gear on the green, people walk up to him already knowing he is a Realtor and ask him for insights and his real estate services.

“[That’s] one of the biggest reasons why I joined RE/MAX, for the incredible brand recognition.”

Kit loves that when he wears his gear, “RE/MAX” on his shirt is powerful enough for a stranger to ask him real estate questions and eventually trust him with their home because the name already speaks for itself.  He is proud to be with a brand that helps elevate him above the rest in the community.

Kit not only values the relationships he maintains with clients but also with other agents in the community. Kit advises that in this competitive market, it is vital that an agent has good and trusting relationships with other agents because an agent has no idea when the time will come to work with them in a transaction. In this competitive buyers market, Kit has found success for his buyers and attributes it to the good standing he had already independently built with the listing agent. He values collaborating, not competing, and loves any opportunity he has to connect and network with other agents.

We are thrilled to have Kit as a part of our Gold Nation community, and hope you will join us in welcoming him!
