RE/MAX Hall of Fame: John Brannan

RE/MAX Gold attracts the best, most productive agents in our region. The Hall of Fame award recognizes Associates who’ve earned more than $1 million in gross commissions with RE/MAX. We will be sharing some of our RE/MAX Gold award recipients in the coming weeks to highlight their achievements.

This week’s Hall of Fame member is John Brannan from our Mill Valley office.

John began his real estate career in 1983 working throughout the Marin and Sonoma area. If John’s 35 years in the industry isn’t impressive enough, real estate has run through the Brannan blood for 5 generations. His family’s involvement in real estate dates back to the 1850’s, when his ancestors had a brokerage in San Francisco. Talk about a legacy!

In October of 2013, John decided to take his business to the next level by joining RE/MAX Gold. As he looks ahead, John’s goal is to keep building and growing his team, The Brannan Realty Group. When he’s not working, John loves to hit the green for a round of golf.

One of his most memorable moments in his real estate career occurred the first time he presented an offer on behalf of his client. When he got to his meeting (which was at the seller’s home!), the seller was not interested in hearing his presentation and only wanted to hear the offer. After John’s hesitation, the seller said “Give me the offer or I’m coming across the table to get it!” Talk about nerve-wracking! It was a good lesson for John to always be prepared, even if that means foregoing the presentation and cutting to the chase!
