RE/MAX Gold Legal Live Stream - Well Attended & Successful

Last week, RE/MAX Gold hosted our first live streamed MEC event with a focus on giving our agents a legal update.

Agents gathered in their office together to watch the live stream presented by the panel of four: Anthony James, Vice President of Professional Development/Co-Broker of Record; Bev Kendall, Executive Vice President/Co-Broker of Record; Vern Hansen, Vice President of Risk Management; and guest Lindsey Casillas, Real Estate Attorney with Klinedinst Law.

The hour and a half presentation covered compliance and best practices for the transaction process, gleaning knowledge from those who have had much experience in these scenarios.

The Legal Live Stream platform offered Managers the opportunity to type in questions from the office associates.  One question received a lot of attention: “What app should I use to make sure my texts are entered into the transaction platform?”—to which one Gold Nation associate had a great solution. Denise Kirchubel shared her experience with a mobile app called “Email My Texts” for Android users, which sends all of your selected threads to your email or converts them into a file to be uploaded. For iPhone users, a comparable app is “Export SMS PRO-Text Exporter”. Bev Kendall also reminded associates that they can easily write a “wrap up” email to the consumer and include any information from the text, and then copy the transaction email address. The live stream format allowed for agent collaboration even when associates were miles and miles away!

With an estimated 500 associates “in attendance” across our 62 offices, the event was a huge success.
